What Is the PROTECTSYS® WM 2400 System?

The PROTECTSYS® Wireless Monitoring (WM) System protects the integrity of a roof system 24 hours a day, seven days a week, keeping the entire structure safe–a valuable tool for any business.

How Does It Work?

The PROTECTSYS® WM System prevents dangerous moisture from gaining access to a roofing system’s insulation material. If an insulation layer becomes damp and the moisture is unable to flow out, the insulation layer becomes saturated, which compromises the roof integrity.

The PROTECTSYS® WM is an early warning system that prevents this from happening. Battery-powered sensor boxes are placed within insulation layers to monitor temperature, relative humidity, absolute humidity, dew point, and vapor pressure. Monitoring results are transmitted to a central hub where information is collated and sent to an ILD® central computer where graphs are generated. Data is then sent to a “cloud” and can be accessed through a desktop or smart phone to review.

A slight increase of moisture within the roof assembly creates an elevated vapor pressure reading. If the readings are too high, a warning is issued for immediate attention.

Customize to Suit Your Needs

The PROTECTSYS® WM System is customizable and adaptable. It can be installed into an existing roof system and additional roof sections can be added later if required. If necessary, snow load sensors, growth media moisture sensors, and even wind sensors for vegetated roof systems can be added. Whatever type of roof, the PROTECTSYS® WM System can work for you.
